La Grange de Cambouich is perched above the village of Ercé, in the heart of high-altitude mountain pastures at the edge of the forest, fully facing south. Located at 1,200 m altitude, it offers absolute peace and quiet, reached via a 3 km mountain track used only by a few local farmers. A former cowshed barn abandoned because the slopes were too steep for mechanisation, it has been carefully restored while preserving its granite walls, slate roof and authentic character. The interior has been fitted out in a warm rustic style to provide maximum comfort.
The view is truly spectacular, both down towards the Garbet valley and up towards Mont Valier and the high peaks of the Upper Ariège. In front of the house you will find a large garden shelter with a barbecue, perfect for enjoying the panorama. At the back, a natural spring flows all year round into a stone basin, ideal for cooling off after a hike. Set in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees, the house is surrounded by wild, pure and unspoilt nature. Here, the air is crystal-clear and the water we drink comes directly from our mountain.
